Butoh and Performing Arts Festival
Budapest – Hungary | Bratislava – Slovakia | Krakow – Poland
Bi-annual festival presenting the best of international butoh and Japanese performing arts. The second edition of the festival and its touring programme was held in 2011, where Performances, screenings, symposium, exhibition and workshops were organised. Eastern-european touring partners of the festival are the Bratislava in Movement Association, Slovakia and Manggha Museum, Krakow, Poland.
Highlighted artists of the first two editions of the festival are Tomiko Takai, Yoshito Ohno, Ko Murobushi, Akira Kasai Company, Bernardo Monte, Mitsuyo Uesugi, Yumiko Yoshioka, Sonoko Prow, Paul Ibey, Batarita, Kae Ishimoto.
Batarita is the director and curator of the “Butoh and Performing Arts Festival” in Budapest.
